RAF Woodvale is situated on the Merseyside coast between Ainsdale and Formby. Ainsdale and Freshfield are the nearest Merseyrail stations, located to the North and South of the airfield respectively. If travelling by bus, Arriva's 48A bus route travels past the entrance to the base every 20 - 30 minutes. Please visit www.arrivabus.co.uk for more information.
If travelling by car, RAF Woodvale is easily accessible from M57 & M58 at 'Switch Island' by following the signs for A565 / Southport. Likewise, if travelling from the North, follow the signs for A565 / Liverpool.
